Barn Cat Program

There are some cats that come to us now, in the age of T-N-R, that cannot go back to the location from which they came. Our Barn Program tries to match one or more of these cats with people who are looking for a cat to live outdoors but in a sheltered, monitored environment. Some of them have had minimal contact with people and despite our best efforts to socialize them, they will never become house cats. Yet, these cats can be very happy and live useful lives as barn cats. If you have an outbuilding such as a barn or garage or shed, you can provide these animals with a second chance!
Before a Barn Cat is adopted, we will have the cat spayed or neutered, checked for diseases, and brought up to date on their shots.
As a Barn Cat adopter, you are committing to providng fresh water and cat food every day (even if your cat is a great mouser, they need the vitamins and minerals from store bought cat food), and a safe, sanitary, comfortable shelter to protect them from the elements.
If you have an outbuilding or barn that can provide a safe haven for our cats, please consider adopting one or more. We can provide you with additional information to help you decide if adopting a barn cat is right for you and your life style.
If you would be interested in discussing the possibilities, please fill out an application , return it to us, and we will get back to you to continue the conversation.
