SisterThrift
SisterThrift is the ultimate thrift store shopping experience!
Sister Thrift was created in July of 2003 with two principal goals in mind - to assist a local nonprofit organization in raising additional funds that may not otherwise be available to them and to create the ultimate online thrift store shopping experience!
The mission is to make Sister Thrift a true thrift store with a wide range of pre-owned items available at super low prices found nowhere else. No waiting for auctions to end only to be outbid at the last minute, no scams, and no ridiculously high prices. If you find something you like listed at Sister Thrift and the price is right, it's yours to buy immediately!

Many of the area shelters share the same philosophy regarding euthanasia and are no-kill shelters. Yet the MetroWest Humane Society takes this philosophy even further in that we feel semi-feral cats also deserve a second chance and we are willing to house, socialize, and hopefully find homes for the many feral cats we have living at our shelter.
Unfortunately, finding them homes isn't always that easy. It seems most people that come to our shelter have never had exposure to a semi-feral cat and are understandably looking to adopt an animal that does not need the patience, understanding and TLC that a semi-feral cat requires. The result is that many of our semi-feral cats live at the shelter for what can turn into years.
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES OF OUR SHELTER EXPANSION IS THE SUNSHINE ROOM - for our semi-feral cats. Rather than rooms full of cages, there will be free-roam areas, with cats snoozing on sofas, perched on ledges, or gazing out of windows. This area will have lots of light, sky lights, windows and open space so they can play, climb and bask in the sun. Doesn't that sound wonderful?
There is so much yet to do and achieve, and it is truly an exciting time for the Board of Directors, our wonderful volunteers, and our new and long-term members. As always, we are deeply grateful for the continuing support of our members and friends. It is because of you that we are able to help the animals.
MWHS is looking to the future with high hopes, optimism and excitement in working with all of you in helping with the animal-related issues within our community.
If you would like to help with the shelter expansion in any way, or you can email any questions to: Karl Thober at Kthober@rcn.com.
