The Veinot Family
We first became acquainted with MWHS through Petfinder.com and noticed Pixel’s picture. We were interested in meeting her even though at the time we already had five cats at home. When we went to see Pixel and decided to add her to our clan, we also noticed Venus, one of two cats who were sisters and who had been at the shelter for many years. We adopted Venus as well. However, a few weeks later we discovered that Venus was having a little trouble adjusting and seemed depressed. We knew that Venus’ sister, Molly, was depressed as well at the shelter. There certainly was nothing else to do but adopt Molly as well.
Our adoption experience may have stopped there, but when one of our original five cats didn’t return home for quite some time after getting out, we remembered a gray and white cat named Buffy that we had seen on one of our visits. We decided we would adopt Buffy if Mark didn’t return. Mark did return after five weeks, but we still had Buffy on our minds and wanted to bring her into our family as well since we have a real love for kitties. The four cats were all semi-ferals but have all adjusted beautifully and get along very well. Thank you, MWHS. David and Elizabeth
