Worcester

Worcester (aka) Zoe

When my cat Puff died, I couldn't imagine feeling that close to another cat. But some weeks later I woke up and I knew I needed another cat in my life. So I headed out to the shelter in search of a kitten to love. But when I got there, there was "Worcester". She'd been found injured and abandoned and was on quarantine.

She was obviously a cat who loved people- she rubbed and purred, and talked (oh my what a talker!). And when we took her out of her cage she just loved to play and jump. But, I thought, I wanted a kitten. The shelter staff member wisely said, why don't you sleep on it. And I did, and by the next morning I knew that Worcester had already found her way in to my heart.

And now 5 months later "Worcester", now Zoe is very much a part of my life. She likes nothing more than to stretch out on my chest when I'm watching TV, and off she goes to sleep. In the morning as I'm getting ready for work she will knock one of her balls off the counter, look at me as if to say- time to play. And play we do until I need to leave. Then she sits in the front window and watches. Thank you for caring for Zoe until she was well enough to come home with me. Claire
