Hello, I'm JSL.
CatGrim was inspired by the single-screen arcade games of old where the entire screen was the level (Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, etc). I also played alot of Super Meat Boy while making this, so that probably influenced me into making CatGrim harder than i may have planned :p
If you forget the controls just press P (for Pause), the pause menu contains the controls.
(it's my personal philosophy that everything you should need to know to play a game should be in the swf and not this commentary box.)
*note: some people have keyboards that prevent you from holding down multiple keys at the same time (example: W, K, L). The game is programmed so you can hold down as many keys as you want, so if you encounter this issue it has to do with your keyboard setting*

If you are having problems loading or playing a game, please update your browser first before flagging. Also, you need to make sure your Adobe Flash, Adobe Shockwave and Apple QuickTime are all up to date as well. Some games use special graphic modules like Unity, etc. All games have been tested and work in the Mozilla Firefox up to version 51 (not all games work in all browsers except FireFox 51) Some games will work in full-screen mode. As of March 7, 2017, Shockwave (.dcr) games no longer work in Firefox 52 and higher. If the game still doesn’t work after updating and or switching to Mozzila Firefox, please flag for repair.
